Through visionary leadership and partnerships with local organizations, the Sharks Alumni Foundation aims to strengthen the Bay Area youth sports community, and support other local causes. As former professional NHL hockey players, we know first hand the many benefits of playing sports. In addition to building self-confidence, camaraderie, and learning the values of teamwork, commitment and determination, kids who play sports likely to do better on tests and go to college. Kids who play sports of all types are less likely to become obese or start drugs. And, most importantly, playing sports is just plain fun. The Sharks Alumni Foundation aims to bridge the gap for kids who want to participate in sports, but do not have the financial resources to do so. Through fundraisers and family-friendly community events, the Sharks Alumni Foundation will raise money to that end.
If your player does not have a team to play with or if your team is looking for an additional player or two, please take a look at the free agent spreadsheet. Special note that signing up on the free agent list DOES NOT guarantee participation in the jamboree. Please click on the link below.
