Cross Ice Jamborees

Cross Ice Jamborees

Sharks Ice at San Jose and the Jr. Sharks periodically hosts cross ice jamborees. Playing cross-ice hockey is a great way for players to have fun with their friends, get a great workout, all in a relaxed environment.

The cross-ice practicing/playing model has been used in many of the leading hockey nations in the world for a number of years and has stood the test of time. It has been shown that children who begin their hockey training in this type of environment have an outstanding hockey experience.

In addition to building self-confidence, camaraderie, and learning the values of teamwork, commitment and determination, kids who play sports likely to do better on tests and go to college. Kids who play sports of all types are less likely to become obese or start drugs. And, most importantly, playing sports is just plain fun. The Sharks Alumni Foundation aims to bridge the gap for kids who want to participate in sports, but do not have the financial resources to do so.
