Cross Ice Jamborees

Sharks Ice at San Jose and the Jr. Sharks periodically hosts cross ice jamborees. Playing cross-ice, or 4v4 hockey, is a great way for players to have fun with their friends, get a great workout, all in a relaxed environment.

The cross-ice practicing/playing model has been used in many of the leading hockey nations in the world for a number of years and has stood the test of time. It has been shown that children who begin their hockey training in this type of environment have an outstanding hockey experience.

3v3 Youth Jamboree | Saturday, August 24th | Registration Open

Sharks Ice is hosting a 3-on-3 Cross Ice Youth Jamboree on Saturday, August 24th. For more information and details, please read below. Deadline to sign up is Friday, August 16th at 12pm. Current USA Hockey #'s for each participant are required in order to complete the registration. Register your team at the button link below.

Age/Skill Divisions

For this event, we are accepting the following age and skill divisions:

Age/Skill Divisions:

  • 6U House
  • 8U House or Travel
  • 10U House, Travel B, Travel BB, or Travel A
  • 12U House, Travel B, Travel BB, Travel A, or Tier AA/AAA
  • 14U House, Travel B, Travel BB, Travel A, or Tier AA/AAA
  • 16U/18U House, Travel, or Tier AA/AAA

Please note that the Sharks Ice Hockey Dept reserves the right to move teams and merge divisions in the interest of parity and fair competition. Team contacts will be notified before schedule creation if their team is moved in the interest of parity.

Free Agent List

We have created a free agent list where people can post their contact info if they have a player looking for a team, or a team can go look at the list to find an extra player or goalie.

Please note that entering your name on the free agent list DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on a team or a spot in the event. This is just a location where teams can look for more players if needed. To go to the list, please click on the link below:

Rules

Schedule

The link to the online schedule will be published here by the evening of Monday, August 19th. It will also be emailed to team contacts directly. No standings will be kept. Due to an odd number of teams in a division, some teams may be given a 4th game.

Details

  • Event Date:  Saturday, August 24th
  • Team Fee: $210
  • Games may begin at 7am with younger age groups starting first and older ages starting later in the day
  • A team consists of four skaters and one goalie
  • Games are played 3 on 3, cross-ice format
  • Three game guarantee
  • Each game consists of three, eight-minute running time periods in a 30-minute ice slot
  • Included in the team fee are five drink tickets valid in Stanley's Sports Bar, and rolls of hockey tape for each player
  • All participants must have current USA Hockey Membership
  • Deadline to register is Friday, August 16th at 12:00pm
  • All registrations is taken online
  • Schedule will be published by the evening of Monday, August 19th
  • No schedule requests will be taken
  • Team contacts will be notified of the schedule when it is complete
