The San Jose Jr. Sharks are proud to announce that former AAA players Christian Acosta and Chase Edwards have both sign professional contracts to play roller hockey in France. Acosta and Edwards are both 1999 birth years.

"I am thankful to be apart of such a great organization as i shared many memories with friends and coaches and i am happy to say that I am a Shark for life," said Edwards. Edwards played a majority of his youth hockey in the Jr. Sharks AAA program, finishing with his 18AAA season.

"I don't really know what to expect over there, but I'm glad I have someone that I have played with my whole life to take on another league and country with me," said Acosta.

Both players last played for the Jr. Sharks in 2016-17 on the 18AAA team. Prior to signing in France, both players competed on the Junior USA Roller IWHC Team in Spain this past summer for the World Hockey Classic. Edwards led the junior division in scoring with 17 goals in 6 games.

The Tigres De Garges play in the largest roller hockey league in the world. They play 40 regular season games and then participate in the European Cup.

Best of luck to Christian and Chase on their new adventure!
