The Jr. Sharks are proud to announce that Evelyne Blais-Savoie and Claire Peterson have both been selected to attend the 2018 USA Hockey Girls 16/17 National Development Camp. Blais-Savoie (’02) and Peterson (’01), will be playing for the Jr. Sharks Girls 19U AAA team for the 2018-19 season.
To be selected to the National Development Camp, players have to advance through the CAHA Select Camp, then the USA Hockey Multi-District Development Camp in Colorado Springs, CO. The Multi-District Camp is comprised of players from the Pacific, Rocky Mountain and Northern Plains Districts.
The 2018 Girls 16/17 National Development Camp will be held in St. Cloud, Minnesota and is comprised of the top ’01 and ’02 birth year players from across the country. The camp is a week-long program that provides both on and off ice training including strength and conditioning, nutrition, classroom, etc.
Congratulations to Evelyne and Claire on their great accomplishment. We are extremely excited to have them represent California and the Jr. Sharks program at the national level.
The Jr. Sharks are excited to announce that 26 boys and girls players will continue their hockey careers beyond the Jr. Sharks program! Over 85% of kids who played 18U Boys or 19U Girls last season will be advancing to play hockey beyond the Jr. Sharks next season! Here is the full list of players and where they will be going:
Despite a year with low numbers on the 18AAA team, 5 players will be heading to junior hockey, 3 will be headed to college and 3 more players will be returning to play 18AAA!

The Jr. Sharks recently added new members to the HAD and updated our goals. Please see below for updates and information on the HAB.
The Hockey Advisory Board (HAB) helps the Director of the Jr. Sharks and the Hockey Council with Club operations and policy. At a minimum the HAB is comprised of the following voting members: 3 current members of the Jr. Sharks Club (parents), 1 Sharks Sports & Entertainment executive, the Solar4America Ice Vice President, 2 outside members, and 1 Sharks Alumni
The purpose of the HAB is:
- A collaboration of Club families and Solar4America Ice (the organization) to ensure Club bi-laws are being adhered to
- Follow the goals and mission of the Jr. Sharks as outlined in the bi-laws and policy
- Ensure transparency throughout the organization
- Review coaching recommendations and provide final approval subject to membership feedback
- Final step in the Jr. Sharks Disputes and Resolution process
- Help provide the best possible youth hockey experience to our membership
- Help advise the Director of the Jr. Sharks
