Hello Future Hockey Stars,

Girls Give Hockey a Try is one of the best ways to introduce a new player into the hockey world. Many of our current players and college players found their love and passion at a Give Hockey a Try event.

No experience needed. Our Jr. Sharks families will help guide participants with finding proper fitting gear, on ice skills, and answering any and all questions.

Show up wearing clothes that you can put your gear on over. An example would be a long sleeve shirt and leggings. Please show up 45 minutes before the ice slot so that we have plenty of time to get you situated with gear.

Reese Laubach Drafted in the 2022 NHL Draft

The San Jose Jr. Sharks would like to congratulate Reese Laubach for being drafted in the 2022 NHL Draft! Laubach was drafted in the 7th round, 217th overall by our very own San Jose Sharks.

Laubach, a forward, played for the Northstar Christian Academy 18U AAA team in Alexandria, Minnesota during the 2021-2022 season. Laubach lead his team in scoring with 51 goals and 51 assists for 102 points. Laubach will play for Minnesota State University (Mankato) for the 2022-2023 season.

Laubach played in the Jr. Sharks program the majority of his youth hockey career, and we couldn’t be more proud to see him take the next step as an NHL prospect! Laubach is the first to play in our High School hockey league and Jr. Sharks and be selected in the NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Congratulations on this very exciting achievement.
