The San Jose Jr. Sharks a proud to announce that Tyler Nelson has signed the with Hartford Jr. Wolfpack of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL)

Nelson, '98, played on the Jr. Sharks 18AAA team last year and has played with the Jr. Sharks for the past 3 seasons. Nelson is a big, strong, puck moving defensemen who fits well in the Jr. Wolfpack system. The Jr. Wolfpack finished the '15-16 season with a 24-17-3 record. They also led the league in NCAA Commitments with 14. Their strong commitment to development and player movement makes them a great landing spot for the 6'3 defensemen from Danville, CA.

Nelson joins former Jr. Sharks' forwards Felix Takacsi-Nagy ('97) and  Malte Helt ('96) on the Wolfpack roster. Dylan Vander Esch ('94- SUNY Potsdam) and Theo Tydingco ('93- Wesleyan College) are also Jr. Sharks' alumni who have graduated the Jr. Wolfpack program and moved on to the NCAA ranks.

Congratulations to Tyler Nelson and his family on their commitment and hard work! Good luck next season Tyler!
