San Jose Jr Sharks

The Jr. Sharks had a very impressive 2015 Nor Cal Selects tryout camp. This year, Nor Cal was granted more positions at the CAHA Select Camp, offering more players the opportunity to showcase their skills at the state level.

The Jr. Sharks advanced 53 players out of a possible 72, or 74% of the players moving to the CAHA Select Camp.

At the 2002 level, the Jr. Sharks advanced 2 goalies, 7 forwards and 4 defensemen.

At the 2001 level, the Jr. Sharks advanced 2 goalies, 5 forwards and 6 defensemen.

At the 2000 level, the Jr. Sharks advanced 2 goalies, 6 forwards and 5 defensemen.

At the 1999 level, the Jr. Sharks advanced 2 goalies, 8 forwards and 4 defensemen.

The Jr. Sharks also had 11 players selected as alternate players. The alternate players are granted spots in the CAHA Camp if someone is unable to attend.

**The Nor Cal Select Camp is the first step in players competing for a spot at the US National Development Camp, which takes place in July. After Nor Cal Selects, players move on to CAHA Selects then Pacific District Selects and from there to National Camp. At the youngest age level (2002), players go to a High Performance District Camp and that is all.**
