San Jose Jr Sharks

Alumni Update 6/17/2015

The San Jose Jr. Sharks are proud to announce multiple players are heading to the next level of their hockey careers!

Lucas Semkiw, 1997, spent the last 4 years playing AAA for the Jr. Sharks, will be attending the University of Washington next season, where he will play ACHA hockey for the Huskies. Last season, Lucas was a captain for the 18AAA and finished top 5 in scoring.

Collin Tripp, 1998, spent the last 4 seasons playing AAA for the Jr. Sharks as well. This past season, Collin played on the 16AAA team. He will take the next step in his career next season with the Billings Bulls of the NA3HL. The NA3HL is a top Tier III junior league in the country.

Ji Li (’95), Michael Mylchreest (’95), Trevor Weinstock (’97), Aidan Ward (’97) and Aaron Burden (’97) are all headed to Arizona State University. Ji spent last season in the NAHL with Springfield and Keystone, he will join their Division 1 ACHA team. Michael spent last season in the USHL, prior to the USHL, he spent 1 year in the NAHL and 2 years in the WHL. Trevor, Aidan and Aaron played with the Jr. Sharks 18AAA team last season and we both strong contributors.

Devin Cooley, 1997, signed a tender with the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL and was also drafted in to the NA3HL by the St Louis Jr Blues.

Zack Lloyd, 1995, is headed to Oakland University where he will play ACHA Division 1 hockey. Lloyd spent last season in the NA3HL with the West Michigan Wolves. Prior to that, Lloyd played 3 season of AAA hockey with the Jr. Sharks.

Ryan Meure, 1997, signed a tender with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the NAHL.

Eric Pinsky was drafted by the Peoria Mustangs in the NA3HL, he is also attending 2 NAHL camps and 1 BCHL camp, in hopes of earning a spot on their roster.

Tyson Mclellan, 1996, is headed back for his third season with Waterloo in the USHL. After next season, Tyson will be off to the University of Connecticut to play NCAA Division 1 hockey!

Zak Galambos, 1997, is headed back to Janesville in the NAHL for this second season.

David Radke, 1994, is attending Colorado College next year where he will compete for playing time on the Division 1 NCAA team. David spent the last 3 seasons playing in the NOJHL and NAHL.

Felix Takacsi-Nagy, 1997, signed a contract with the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack of the EHL. Felix was a leading scorer on the 18AAA team last season and will be a strong contributor to the Wolfpack this year.

Mitch Kramer and Trevor Smith, 1997, both played on our 18AA team last season and will headed to Boise State University where they will play ACHA hockey.

Devyn Kelly, 1997, 18AAA player is headed to Iowa University where he will play ACHA hockey.

Matthew Ebertin, 1997, 18AAA player is headed to the University Of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.

In addition to all of that, 7 players from our 16AAA team attended junior camps this spring/summer, 4 kids from our 15AAA team attended junior camps this spring/summer and over 15 players attend USHL combine, including 5 2001 birth year players!
