Jr Sharks alumnus, David Radke, has committed to play his college hockey at Colorado College, NCAA Division I.
Radke, a '94 birth year defenseman, played for the Oakland Bears during his early years of hockey and later made the jump to the Jr Sharks, finishing his youth career playing 18AAA in 2011-12. Radke has spent the last three years playing for the Soo Thunderbirds in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. This season, Radke is serving as the teams assistant captain. He follows in his brothers’ footsteps, Dan, who played four seasons at the NCAA Division I level for Lake Superior State.
“Dave committed to the process and paid his dues by playing three years of junior hockey. He has worked hard on and off the ice and his hard work has paid off. I am extremely happy and proud of the player Dave has become. On behalf of the organization, I would like to wish Dave continued success at Colorado College,” said Jr Sharks Player Advancement Coordinator Mike Janda.
Colorado College is also the alma mater of Jon Gustafson, VP of Sharks Ice and the Worcester Sharks.
