The Jr. Sharks are proud to announce that Evelyne Blais-Savoie and Sydney Merritt have both been selected to attend the 2019 USA Hockey Girls 16/17 National Development Camp. Blais-Savoie (’02) will be attending the camp for her third straight year and Merritt (’03) will be attending her first. Both girls played for the Jr. Sharks Girls 19U AAA team this past season.

The 2019 Girls 16/17 National Development Camp will be held in St. Cloud, Minnesota and is comprised of the top ’02 and ’03 birth year players from across the country. The camp is a week-long program that provides both on and off ice training including strength and conditioning, nutrition, classroom, etc.

To be selected for the camp, players have to advance through the CAHA Select Camp, then the USA Hockey Multi-District Development Camp in Colorado Springs, CO. The Multi-District Camp is comprised of players from the Pacific, Rocky Mountain and Northern Plains Districts.

We are honored to have them represent California and the Jr. Sharks program at the national level. Congratulations to Evelyne and Sydney on their great accomplishment.
