The Jr. Sharks 15AAA (2003) is Pacific District Champions!

The 15AAA team is the first team to earn a birth to USA Hockey Nationals since the 18AAA team did so in 2007. 15AAA Nationals will be in Plymouth, MI, April 3-8.

The Jr. Sharks started the PDC with a convincing 11-0 win over the Everett Jr. Silvertips on Thursday after noon. On Friday, despite being up 5-2 in the third period, the boys fell to the Anaheim Jr. Ducks in overtime, 6-5.

On Saturday, they faced a must-win game vs the LA Jr. Kings, in order to earn a spot in the Championship on Sunday. The Sharks would come out on top 3-1 after a hard fought battle between the two foes.

With the win on Saturday, it set up a rematch of the CAHA State Championship against the same LA Jr. Kings team. The Jr. Kings jumped out to an early 1-0 on Sunday. The Sharks battled back and scored 3 goals in 4 minutes to make it 3-1 at the end of the 1st period. The Sharks would add another in the 2nd and head to the break, leading 4-1. The Kings started the third on the power play and capitalized to cut the lead to 4-2. However, strong offensive pressure and quick puck movement by the defense would hold the Kings off for a 4-2 win!

Congratulations to the team, coaching staff and families!
