Lady Ducks Fall Classic 2014 Update #2:

Our second game, early Saturday morning, was bogged down by fatigue. The girls came out slowly and were getting beat to most pucks in the first period. After hydrating and discussing strategy during the break, we began to dictate the play with several scoring chances. Tic-tac-toe plays by Stelling, Teft and Burke led to near misses throughout the period.

Each forward line was able to keep play deep in the Anaheim zone which led to 21 shots for the game. Castro had several chances to break through in the second, but was stoned by the goalie. Hawthorne recorded her second shutout with 15 saves, behind a solid defensive effort and hard back-checking.
