About Us

The San Jose Jr. Sharks is a youth hockey club where our goal is long-term development, not short-term success. We intentionally offer different level teams with different emphasis, in order to address the different needs and interests of members in the program. The Jr. Sharks offer competitive teams for boys (ages 9-18), girls (ages 8-19).

Our Travel AA, A and B programs offer a balance of skill development and competition, with a solid practice program and the opportunity to participate in a highly competitive league throughout Northern California.

Extending this strong foundation Tier I “AAA” teams gain the highest possible developmental and competitive learning experience, by playing at a State, Regional and National level. At the top level our AAA teams, our goal is to develop elite players who are capable of attaining their future hockey goals.

The Girls programs works to recruit, retain, and develop their player pool and have the teams compete at local, state, and nationals levels. The Jr. Sharks goal is to create opportunities for female hockey players at the national and collegiate levels.

The San Jose Jr. Sharks program provide players with the tools and training necessary to compete at USA Hockey's National Championships, to have the opportunity to attend the National Development Camps, to play Division 1 or Division 3 college hockey, and to encourage dreams of becoming future Olympians or even professional hockey players.

History

The Jr. Sharks are looking for past members to help assemble a history that we can share with our members.  If you have good stories or pictures that you'd like to share, please contact Scott Hannan.
