The San Jose Jr Sharks are proud to announce that current member of the Jr Sharks Girls 19UAA team, Sarah Takahashi, has committed to Wesleyan University for the 2017-18 season. Wesleyan is an NCAA Division III school in Middletown, CT that competes in the NESCAC conference.
Sarah is currently in her third season with the Jr Sharks Girls program and is the captain of the girls 19U team. She also served as alternate captain in the previous season and has shown great leadership during her time with the Jr Sharks. Not only does Sarah continue to improve on the ice, she also excels in the classroom as well by maintaining a high GPA and will be graduating this May from Carondelet High School in Concord, CA.
"Sarah has skated for me for three years, the effort on and off the ice has helped her reach her dreams of playing college hockey. I look forward to following her career at Wesleyan," said Coach Bobby Long
