Ryan Lowe To Join Organization

The Jr. Sharks are pleased to announce the hiring of Goalie Coach Ryan Lowe to join the Jr. Sharks coaching staff for the 2014-15 season. Ryan will work primarily with the Tier goalies and will also be involved in numerous Sharks Ice Camps and Clinics.

Lowe played collegiate hockey for San Jose State where he helped the Spartans make 3 national tournament appearances in his final 3 seasons and earned All West Region team honors in each. Ryan was named a national first team All American in 2006, the first in SJSU's club history and was a two time MVP for the Spartans. Following school, Ryan chased the dream suiting up for multiple teams in the minor leagues across the United States and found his way down under to the Australian Ice Hockey League where we played two seasons for the Canberra Knights, earning team MVP honors in 2009 and most inspirational in 2010. Ryan also played for the Sydney Bears in 2013 and now returns from Australia excited to help our goaltenders achieve their true potential and take the next step in their young careers.

"Goaltending is a position of two paths. The goat, and the hero. You have to be willing to risk being the former, if you want to earn the chance to be the latter," said Lowe.
