Sharks Ice Responds to Air Quality Questions

Published February 14, 2011 00:00

In response to a story about the air quality inside ice arenas run by the Today Show, Sharks Ice has issued the following statement:

Sharks Ice facilities utilize a sophisticated Building Automation System, controls, gas detectors, and intake and exhaust air systems to insure that the air is safe to breathe.

We monitor air quality levels both mechanically and manually constantly and are notified if there are any abnormal conditions.

Our ice resurfacers run on propane, not regular gas, and utilize sophisticated emission controls to insure that the exhaust is as clean as possible.

Should you wish to learn more about our systems, please feel free to ask.
