Jr. Sharks Club Moving Forward

The Sharks Ice of San Jose Development Model: Jr. Sharks has released information about the vision for the future of the Jr. Sharks organization.


The Jr. Sharks mission statement has evolved over the last 11 years. Today the Jr. Sharks mission statement is “Provide a fun atmosphere to foster a lasting love for the game of hockey while developing players on and off the ice, creating competitive opportunities in all appropriate age, skill and dedication levels, and promoting our players within the Jr. Sharks organization and beyond youth hockey.” As we progress as a club, the Jr. Sharks are working to meet all the goals and objectives of its membership. The club has learned through the years that there are two distinct goals of our players. There is one group that is playing youth hockey with the skill, dedication, and desire to play hockey in juniors and college hockey. The second group is playing hockey for the love of the sport but want to limit the cost, time commitment, and travel to be able to maintain outside activities. To serve both membership groups and their goals, the Jr. Sharks are going to create two distinct paths for its players to participate.
